Narrative allegory and its different types in Persian Literature

Abstract
Allegory is one of the most important literary type owning a prominent position in Persian Literature. Proverb, example and allegory are often interchangeably used in Persian Literature following Arabic language, and neither of them has its own separate and special name. So they face with a special complexity and entanglement. Regarding the structure, in Persian Literature, allegory can be divided into two parts: descriptive allegory (short parable) which contains only one or two sentences and includes simile metaphor, equation of techniques, proverbs, allegoric metaphor, which have not been discussed in this article, and narrative allegory (broad allegory) which looks much like a story and this case, allegory has been mentioned in the form of a story. This study aims to examine the existing differences and similarities by reviewing a variety of narrative allegory.
